Privacy Policy
LaunchSphere is the controller of product data (accounts, prompts, usage). Polar Software, Inc. is an independent controller of payment, tax, and invoicing data. We never store card numbers.
Last updated 6 September 2026. Draft pending counsel review of entity name, registered address, and governing law. It is the Supplier Agreement we intend to apply to Polar checkout.
1. Who we are
LaunchSphere operates launch-sphere.com and app.launch-sphere.com. Contact: contact@launch-sphere.com. Legal entity name, registered address, and any EU representative are pending counsel confirmation; we will update this page when they are set.
Polar Software, Inc. sells paid plans as merchant of record. Polar’s privacy notice is at polar.sh/legal/privacy. Polar’s processors are listed at polar.sh/legal/sub-processors. We do not copy that list here.
2. What we collect
Account: email, name, profile image, password hash or Google tokens, cached plan tier. Auth: session cookies, IP, user-agent. Content: prompts you submit, enhanced text you save, tags, workspace shares. Metering: usage events that may include the original prompt, model, token counts, and cost, retained about six months. Guest trial: a session id in localStorage, IP address, and a use count (3 per session). Locale: the ls_locale cookie on .launch-sphere.com. Billing we hold: Polar customer id and subscription status — not cards.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 on the marketing site and the app; Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. Advertising: a Meta Pixel on the app. Polar Checkout may set its own cookies on Polar’s domain.
3. How we use it
We use this data to provide the enhancer and library, meter the guest trial and monthly quotas, authenticate you, send magic-link and verification email, prevent abuse, measure traffic, and — if you pay — tell Polar who you are so Polar can charge and we can unlock Pro or Teams. Legal bases we rely on: contract, legitimate interest (security, a limited guest try, aggregated product improvement), consent where required for analytics/ads, and legal obligation for records Polar must keep.
4. Payments (Polar)
Polar Software, Inc. is the seller. Polar collects billing name, email, address, tax IDs, and payment methods (via Stripe, Polar’s processor). Polar never hands a full card number to LaunchSphere. Polar Customer Portal is where you change payment method, download invoices, add a VAT number, or cancel. Payment-data requests: Polar ( privacy@polar.sh) and contact@launch-sphere.com.
5. AI processing
We do not train our own models on your prompts. Prompts are sent to model providers so we can generate output. Guest and free traffic goes through OpenRouter (currently a free Gemma host). OpenRouter states it does not train by default; some free-model hosts on that network may still use inputs to improve their services. We do not currently force a “deny training” flag on that path. Paid traffic goes through Vercel AI Gateway. Vercel states it does not train on Gateway traffic; provider-level no-training is not something we currently enforce in code. We cannot promise that every upstream model provider never trains or retains. Do not submit secrets, health data, or other special-category data.
6. Cookies and similar
Strictly necessary: Better Auth session cookies (about 7 days) and OAuth state. Preference: ls_locale (1 year). Guest trial id lives in localStorage, not a cookie. Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (_ga / _ga_*) — not essential. Advertising: Meta Pixel on the app — not essential; this may be a “share” under California law. Polar Checkout cookies are Polar’s. We do not operate a full consent-management platform today. If you are in the EEA/UK and object to analytics or ads cookies, email contact@launch-sphere.com or use browser controls. A one-line footer on the product points here.
7. Processors
Neon (database), Vercel (hosting, Analytics, AI Gateway), OpenRouter and upstream model providers (inference), Better Auth and Google (sign-in), Brevo (transactional email), Google Analytics 4, Meta (Pixel on the app), Cloudflare R2 (legacy object storage; the image pipeline is off), Slack (internal signup notice). Polar and Stripe are Polar’s payment stack, not “our” card processor.
8. Retention, transfers, children
Saved prompts last until you delete them or we delete the account. Usage and analytics events: about six months. Guest sessions: about 24 hours. Polar invoices: Polar’s retention (often years for tax). Most processors are in the United States; we rely on their DPAs and standard contractual clauses where they apply.
The Service is not directed at children. You must be at least 18.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may access, correct, delete, export, or object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. Library items can be deleted in the product. There is no self-serve account-delete button yet — email contact@launch-sphere.com. Polar holds payment identity; we will point Polar at erasure requests we cannot fulfil ourselves. We do not sell personal information for money. The Meta Pixel may be a “share” under CPRA; email us to opt out.
